Chairman and Non-Executive Director
Timothy Fearnhead is a Chartered Accountant and was a partner at Deloitte for over 20 years. He served in various financial executive roles within the Nedbank group between 1997 to 2006 and currently serves as an independent non-executive director to two listed companies and as a director on other non-listed companies.
Francois Olivier
Non-Executive Director
Francois Olivier is a portfolio manager at Mazi Asset Management Proprietary Limited. Mr Olivier has 19 years of investment research and portfolio management experience, six years of which were spend in the USA. He is a Chartered Accountant and CFA charter holder.
Martin Kuscus
Non-Executive Director
Martin was the MEC for Finance in the North West Provincial Government from 1994 until 2004. Prior to that, he spent 17 years in healthcare services. In June 2004 he became CEO of the South African Bureau of Standards, a position he held until July 2009.
He was the chairperson of the first Board of Trustees for the Government Employees Pension Fund overseeing a portfolio worth R850 billion from June 2005 to July 2009.
He served on the PRI Board of the United Nations Global Compact Initiative on Responsible Investment, served as chairperson of the Pan African Infrastructure Development Fund and is President of the Afrikaanse Handelsinstituut.
Sefenya Edick Lehapa
Non-Executive Director
Mr Edick Lehapa is a Chartered Accountant and was an audit partner at Deloitte for over 20 years, where he served numerous companies across a range of industries. He also has experience in both executive and non-executive roles through serving in various roles at The Standard Bank of South Africa Ltd and Telkom SA.
Darren Kramer
Independent Non-Executive Director
Darren has spent 24 years in M&A growth strategy and transaction architecture, 12 years of which were as a principal in various Law Firms.
In September 2009, Darren left Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs, the largest law firm in Africa, where he was an Executive-Partner (managed the transaction advisory practice), to set up CapitalGate as a niche specialist in creative growth Strategy and M&A Transaction advisor, assisting clients with the monetisation of build and buy strategies specifically in international structures and markets.
Darren has been involved in numerous local and international transactions, including replacement and growth capital transactions (both debt and equity) in markets such as the UK, US, Australia, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Singapore, Mauritius, Mexico, UAE and China.
Shaun Prithivirajh
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Shaun Prithivirajh was the Group CEO for GloCell Proprietary Limited (“GloCell”) and prior to joining GloCell, he was managing executive and director for Ellerines Services Africa as well as manager of international products retail, commercial and industrial for Chevron South Africa Proprietary Limited (Caltex).
Shaun holds a PhD in Business Management from the University of North-West, MBA from the University of Natal, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the University of Natal and a BA from the University of Durban-Westville. He has extensive executive experience in turnaround businesses and in-depth management experience in highly competitive retail and service driven businesses.
Shaun was appointed as the new CEO of Ellies with effect from 1 August 2018.
Guy Moretti
Chief Financial Officer
Guy is an experienced Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in various sectors, including Retail, Financial Services, and Logistics. Prior to joining Ellies, he served as Finance Executive at Taste Holdings and has held numerous Executive level positions for over 10 years.
Guy was appointed to the position of CFO on 5 January 2022.
